Everyone got excited when he struck a deal to buy the site for $44 billion earlier this year but the journey to the actual purchase has been tempestuous, with Musk backing out and resulting in the matter landing in court. Twitter is suing him for breach of contract and a deadline of October 28 has been set by a court to close the deal. Last week, he proposed to go through with the original $44 billion bid. If successful, a deal would put Musk in charge of one of the most influential media platforms and end months of litigation that damaged Twitter\u2019s brand and fed his reputation for erratic behavior. But on the other hand, If Elon Musk does get handed the keys to Twitter, big changes are likely imminent. First and foremost is the probability that Musk would restore several accounts including a host of trolls, racists, misinformation hawks, and other monsters that have been banned from Twitter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Musk, who proclaims himself a \u201cfree speech absolutist,\u201d has said he\u2019s opposing the idea of permanently banning people altogether. The Tesla CEO hasn\u2019t been clear about where he\u2019d draw the boundary line, but he said anything legal should be allowed on Twitter, which means he could open the doors to a healthy list of famous figures who aren\u2019t allowed to Tweet right now. Because he has made a huge difference in society with the companies he manages now.
